How to Work with Plant Elementals

By Debbora Wiles

Historically and in lore, Elementals have been called "the little people." We know them today through books, films, games and oral histories under names such as Trolls, Goblins, Fairies, Sprites, Dwarves, Gnomes, Brownies, Pixies, Salamanders and Dragons. For centuries these nonphysical magical creatures have been relegated to the media in fantasy and fiction or moral bedtime stories for children. But is that really the case?

In our electronic age where cell phones, Internet, TV and radio have us wired world-wide with instant communications, you would think that alone would invalidate the existence of Elementals. But this has not been the case. For along with the age of electronics has come the development of specific kinds of sensitive measuring and photography equipment, like Kirlian photography, aura photography and other devices that are seeing and measuring things like aura fields in our environment that were once invisible to our eyes.

In addition to these devices, our psychic abilities as a collective culture are maturing with these advancements and we are now working in conjunction with science in a set of checks and balances that is unprecedented in the history of our world.

In the 1930's two psychically sensitive women and a retired Royal Air Force Officer settled in a small town called Findhorn on the coast of Scotland. The psychic wife began following channeled spirit guide messages to plant a garden on this rough coast where even saw grass struggled to survive. Over the years, they discovered that plants have intelligence and a vast organization of Elementals that can communicate with humans telepathically and with other devices. With this information the Findhorn community began to grow the most incredible garden in the world. It produces approximately 50% more food per acre that a commercial farm. They grow cabbages the size of bushel baskets, roses the size of dinner plates and prefect flowers that last twice as long.

They are sharing their understanding of Elementals with others and "spirit gardens" are springing up all over the world. Please read their story at: http://www.Findhorn.org

Since the huge success of the Findhorn gardens, other education about Elementals has almost magically come up with it, in many books and films like; The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and more recently The Spiderwick Chronicles. These films show us what the normally invisible Elementals look like and often some of their attitudes as well.

Collectively, these text and demonstrations are telling us that it's time to heal the breach between mankind and our environment. The best way to heal this breach is for each person to do their part by working with plant Elementals in their own environment. So how do we do that?

Getting Ready To Work with Elementals

Our first understanding should be that the organization of plant Elementals is like a vast orchestra. Each section of that orchestra contributes small and large harmonics to the whole, to produce a balanced and rich affect in each environment. If a section of your orchestra is flat or off key, then that will affect the whole.

So your first step to begin working with Elementals is to do an assessment of your environment. Whether you have a huge yard or a few potted plants on a patio, you need to look at all the sections of your environment separately and as a whole. For a yard, look at the largest tree or plant there. This is likely the dominant vibrational personality in your yard. How does it look? Is it healthy and green? Is it tall and natural? Does it look sickly?

Next, look at the entire layout of your plants, which ones are vibrant and which ones are sickly? Often there will be sections that are weak. Next, you need to look closely at these sickly or not as green sections to see if you can find out why they are sickly looking. Are they being troubled by bugs? Are the leaves yellowed or burned? Are the trunks twisted in unnatural patterns? Can you figure out why?

The next step is to eliminate any harsh chemicals you are using to try and control bugs or problem in that area. Try to find something natural and "sympathetic" to the environment to handle the situation. Could a couple of drops of plain and natural liquid soap in a quart of water kill those tomatoes bugs just as effectively as a pound of environmentally dangerous chemical dust? Could some grits run through the blender kill those fire ants as affectedly as a bag of chemicals? Look over your plants and stop using chemicals and find natural alternatives.

Keep in mind that your entire yard is full to bursting with elementals. They are never just "dumb plants." They are watching you and they KNOW how you are treating the environment by your daily actions. You can help by recycling, and keeping your yard clean, neat and well cared for.

How to Communicate with Plant Elementals

The organization of plant Elementals is a very complex world that sports a great number of what is called "form builder" entities in small plants. The larger a plant is, the more complex and intelligent the spirit who is embedded in it. Some of the largest entities' belong to trees in the form of fauns (domestic trees) and satyrs (wild trees) most mature trees have one or the other attached to it by an umbilical. So each level of plant life will have it own embedded spirit or form builder energy.

The next level of intelligence is what is called a Deva. The Deva are manager spirits that oversee specific parcels of land, either a garden, a field or a group of fields or it can be vast acres of land. There are several levels of these and you are wise to begin contact with your garden or yard Deva.

The next levels of nature spirits are called Overlighting Deva. These Deva are in charge of vast areas or entire forests. These Overlighting Deva are very intelligent and have sometimes been seen as "Shadow people" or shafts of unexplained moving light. After this level we get into Angels that oversee them and so on.

It's important to understand these levels of intelligence when working with the plants in your environment. Unless you are very psychically sensitive or have a strong empathic gift, you will not be able to carry on a full conversation with a clump of grass. These form builder spirits are little more than sparks of dynamic energy. However, your garden Deva is highly intelligent and will be very happy to work with you—if you are doing your part to heal the environment. If you are not healing to your environment they may not even speak with you. So don't bother them if you are not at this place.

Equipment

You will need very little to communicate with your garden Deva. Personally, I like to use a pendulum and I find this is easy to work with in my garden and it's easy to teach beginners how to use them. A pendulum can be as simple as a button on a piece of thread. You can make one in a couple of minutes. Just take a fairly heavy button—heavy enough to pull the thread straight—and tie the button to one end. Leave about 5 to 6 inches of thread at the other end. If you like you can tie a loop in that end. That's it.

If you would like something more substantial, you can purchase a crystal pendulum on eBay or at a specialty store for under $5.00. Natural crystals that come to a point are best, and bound in silver with a short silver chain is good too. For a crystal, you want to charge that crystal first with your energy.

Sit in a comfortable position and clear your mind. Rub your hands together briskly to gather a change of energy on your hands. Pick up the crystal pendulum, wrap your hands around it tightly and press the energy in your hands into it. Hold this position for about minute. Now your crystal is charged and ready to work.

Next you will need a notebook and a pen—to write down your questions and answers. That is all you need to start the co-creative process with your Garden Deva.

How do Pendulums Work?

Pendulums work by reacting to the dynamic energy fields around them. This energy can be in whorls of energy between the body and outer aura body, or the electric currents of energy between the conscious mind and the unconscious mind. They also react to energy fields in all things including plants, animals and people.

When working with a pendulum, you need to form questions with two simple answers, like questions that can be answered with a “yes” or a “no” or left and right, high or low and so on.

The pendulum will react in one of two ways—depending on how your personal energy runs. After a question, the pendulum may move clockwise this is a YES or positive answer or counterclockwise and this is a NO or a negative answer.

Another way the pendulum moves for people is by swinging. If the pendulum swings to your body and away from it, like a nod, this is a YES or positive answer. If the pendulum moves left and right, like a shaking head, this is NO or negative answer. If the pendulum works with your energy in this way, then when the pendulum runs in circles left or right it can mean the Deva may not know or care.

When I use a pendulum it swings. If it goes in circles clockwise, I get the feeling my Deva does not care or is leaving that decision up to me. If it moves in a circle counterclockwise, I assume that as either a “no” or my Garden Deva wants more information from me, or for me to rephrase the question.

If the pendulum does not move at all, it could be your Garden Deva is not interested in answering that question OR you may need to press a little more energy into your pendulum to increase its range. If you get a consistent "no move" pendulum you may need to purchase a crystal pendulum to work with your energy.

Step by Step

When you are ready to work with your plants, go to the largest tree or plant in the area where you want to begin the co-creative process with your Garden Deva. Sit on the ground or if you have a bench or lawn chair on it by this tree or large plant. Arrange your notebook and pen in your lap and take out your pendulum. Relax and clear your mind.

Step 1: Put up a psychic shield to make sure your answers are private and just a communication between you and your Garden Deva. If you don't know how to build a psychic "God-Light Shield" see the May Issue 2 of our Newsletter in the PSH Library or click here: http://www.psychicschoolhouse.com/newsletter_v1_i2.htm

Step 2: Begin by giving thanks to your Garden Deva thanking her for all the hard work she had done in your environment. Tell her that you wish to work with her in the co-creative process of healing your environment.

Step 3: Take your pendulum out and hold it gently in your dominate hand between your thumb and forefinger. Curl your hand into over into a down facing "C" and allow the pendulum dangle straight down. Ask your Garden Deva if she is there. Next ask her if she is willing to work with you to improve the environment. Record her answers in the notebook.

Step 4: Once your Garden Deva begins asking you to do things, do them! Before you set a plant or a seed in the dirt, fertilize or do anything, ask your Garden Deva again if the location, color and whatever goes at that location is correct.

Step 5: When you are harvesting anything from your garden, be it fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers or greens, ALWAYS thank the plant elemental and your Garden Deva for their hard work in producing those things. Keep in mind they do 90% of the work—all we do is plant, water and weed!

What to Expect

Working with the Elementals in your garden has a wonderful effect on your whole environment. In the beginning it may seem strange when your garden Deva asks you to plant marigolds with your tomatoes or requests that you alternate the colors of a variety of flowering plant. Or she may ask you to plant in a circle instead of a square. Elementals know a lot more about balancing energy dynamics than we do. So it may seem odd that she want some plants in odd locations across from other plants. She may be evaluating the energy balance of your body’s needs with any one of a hundred dynamics in the environment.

Once you enter the co-creative process with your Garden Deva, don't be surprised if she puts the whammy on a couple of plants you try to sneak in and plant without consulting her. I've tried a few times to sneak in some summer squash or some cucumbers. She is tolerant and allows the plant to thrive and bloom—but they never produce vegetables. On the other hand, I've had just six tomato plants produce enough fruit to supply 3 families for 3 months!

Since your Garden Deva is spiritual, do consult her when you are shopping for plants for your home or garden. I take my pendulum with me when shopping for plants. Just hold the pendulum over the plant and ask her if this is good for your garden or yard. She will not only answer but tell you how many to buy!

My own Garden Deva once told me to buy 2 trays of white Vinca and 2 trays of pink Vinca. I had no idea what she wanted them for. When it came time to plant them, she wanted me begin with white and alternate it with the pink at every indentation in the block wall around my koi pool. I had never EVER counted the number of indentations in the scalloped block wall. But as I got to the end of the planting, I was shocked to find I had EXACTLY enough plants to do this. Not one plant was left over. Not only did my Garden Deva know what she wanted done—but she could count! It was a very exciting moment to understand just how very intelligent the Deva are!

Also when the Elementals are working at the direction of your Garden Deva, you will begin to note oddities in your garden spaces. I have annual Vinca plants that are FIVE years old. I have ferns that are 12 years old. Last year my hubby bought me an arrow plant in a floating foam island for my koi pool. He got it in June. That plant blooms white and yellow blossoms that look just like the head and ears of Mickey Mouse. I call it the Mickey Mouse plant and it has been in continuous bloom for 13 months straight.

Also I have noticed that some plants never go brown after a frost, it's like something is protecting them—even in the open. My ferns grow massive and seem to be center pieces for other creatures, like lizards, frogs, moths and butterflies. From time to time I will notice things coming up that I did not plant or that was transplanted from other locations, sometimes from 200 feet away. All these small miracles are markers that your Garden Deva and your elementals are alive and are working with your environment.

Whether you have just a plant or two in your house or a large yard or acreage, working with your Area Deva is always rewarding. It is a most wonderful experience and I highly recommend to you to try it.
