HOME PRESERVATION
Before you invest in protecting your home you may what to take a up-close look at the area in which you live to make sure your current location is the safest place for you and your family to live. There are several considerations, like is your area prone to earthquakes, how close is it to a nuclear power plants and how susceptible is it to flooding, hurricanes or tsunami? Of course, no area will be safe from Solar flares, however, there are things you can do to prepare for that as best you can.
Take a close look at the maps below and find the area where you live. It may be a good idea to print out these maps encase you want to move at some point during the Shift.

EARTHQUAKE ZONES:
Take a close look at the map. If you live in a red or yellow zone you might want to think about relocating. Current reports show earthquakes have double in frequency and power over the last 10 years. This scientific trend is likely to get worse as we approach the time of the Shift. In fact, the Shift has already begun as NASA reports that the February 27th earthquake in Chile shifted the poles 3 inches in the 8.8 earthquake. In March Chile had two more strong earthquakes which shows the Shift is well in progress NOW.

NUCLEAR POWER PLANT ZONES:
In the recent (March 2010) National Geographic Channel broadcast the special, Aftermath: World Without Oil, this program walked us through the steps of a nuclear power plant melt down. This program pointed out that if there is a total power failure (whatever the cause) most nuclear plants have back up power systems to last from 2 to 3 weeks, after that things begin to go critical. The Chernobyl incident shows us a time frame and the radius of danger is about 19 miles http://www.mindfully.org/Nucs/Chernobyl-Death-Zone.htm. However, most US plants are much larger than Chernobyl so it might be wise look at your distance from a power plant, how big the plant is near you. A safe distance may be 50 to 100 miles - depending on the size of the plant near you. If live within a 100 miles of Power plant you might want to consider relocating.
PROJECTED FLOOD ZONES:
Gordon Michael Scallion was an average business man until a strange illness his took his voice for a year. Throughout his illness he began to get ESP images of changing coastlines and flood zones. Over the last 28 years he has created many "future maps" of what our world will look like over the next few decades after our polar ice caps melt. Some of these changes will come quickly during the Shift others will come about more slowly. It would be wise to have one of these maps or at least study them in relation to your present location. You can order a detailed map with the projected approximate time frame at: http://matrixinstitute.com/store/page2.html PLEASE NOTE THESE CHANGES ARE NOT FOR THE NEXT 3 YEARS ONLY - BUT MANY YEARS.
If your study shows you live in a location that puts your in harms way in two or more of the area's above, you might want to begin making plans to relocate.
SOLAR FLARES:
Solar flares are something that we can't move to get away from. Everyone on the planet will be exposed like it or not. Those people who live under the widening Auroral Oval will get more exposure to the smorgasbord of heat and radiation rays caused by our thinning Ozone layer. People who live near or on the equator will also get more than the average exposure to solar flares and the heat, cancer causing UV radiation and other things the sun throws out. But in this case, there are some simple things you can do to better protect your home from heat and radiation.
1. Install reflective film, or use solar drapes over all windows and doors.
There are many brands of reflective window coverings on the market. When looking for window coverings, be sure they are reflective. These reflective surfaces repel heat, UV and other radiation rays by bouncing them off the reflective surface. Window darkening does not do the same thing - you need a reflective surface to bounce off the sun's radiation - so don't window darkening treatments. Many companies are now offering a wide range of reflective films for windows. You may even get estimates at window tinting places in your hometown. If you want to do it yourself, try hardware stores to find your best price, like Lowe's, Sears, Home Depot and such. Also take into consideration how hard it is to install this film on windows and how long it lasts. 4 to 5 years should cover you nicely. By the time the film peels off or disintegrates we will be well past the Shift points most heated faze.
Another perk in applying reflective films over your windows is that it repels heat, radiation and cold. Many companies claim that there is an instant savings in your power, heating and cooling bills by 20% to 85% depending on the quality of the brand of film you choose. Some companies claim as much as $427.00 in power bill savings in the first year. With the cost of power going up steadily - my own has tripled in the last three years - any place you can save is a blessing. Solar window film also protects drapes and furniture from heat and sun fade damage.
Some companies offer solar drapes which are designed to shade rooms. But be very careful here when you buy. If the side facing the window is NOT REFLECTIVE these are worthless in protecting you and your family from harmful UV radiation. Some companies offer a very inexpensive silver plastic version of reflective drapes that can be hung with a rod. I suggest that you duct tape them to your windows - the less space between the reflective surface and the window the less chance of UV radiation and heat will get into your home.
Finally if you can't afford any of the above, the last ditch effort, in a pinch, you could cover your windows and doors with aluminum foil as smoothly as you can and duct tape that over the glass. You may want to use a combination of all the things above. For example you may want to do south, east and west facing windows in film, and use solar drapes, or foil on the north side.
2. Foil your Attic.
Heat and radiation attacks a house from all sides. But most of the heat and radiation will come through the roof which gets sun exposure all day long. Most standard attic insulation mediums are designed to trap HEAT IN to lower your heating bills and protect you from cold weather. These blown in or rolled in insulation materials do nothing to keep out radiation. But what works for windows also works for attic spaces. Today there are several companies that sells and installs aluminum reflective attic insulation mediums that reflect not only heat but radiation. So you might want to look into the these as well. http://matrixinstitute.com/store/page2.html
3. Invest in Serge Protectors.
Solar flares as small as 20Mand lower have the power to knock out electric power grids, cause power surges and fry electronics. Anything plugged into a power outlet during a solar flare strong enough to feed the power grid is going to fry anything that is plugged in...and I do mean anything from lamps to computers to telephones to cell phones. The same thing can be said for electrical storms and magnetic storms. Over the next few years we will be getting a record number of all three of these storms as our planet works its way through the polar Shift. Another problem is that today almost everything we use is loaded with delicate electronics, including refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves and even your car's computer. Here are some tips to save you a lot of headaches and money.
a. Unplug everything that is not used several times a day from wall plug ins.
b. For things that need to be plugging in all the time, like freezers, refrigerators and computers - buy serge protector for all of these. You can buy them starting at about $5.00 each. Add one or two to your weekly grocery list.
c. Unplug major delicate electronic from the wall during storms, or forecasted solar flares.
4. Prepare your House to Operate Without Electric Power.
Over the coming months there may be many power brown outs, power outages caused by storms or other things. The time to prepare for these things is now. Do a house walk through and think about the tasks you will need to do in each room. How will you do laundry without a washer and dryer? How will you cook? How will you do dishes? How will you flush the toilet without water? Here are some things you might want to have on hand to make your powerless days a bit easier.
A. Have one bucket to put water in each bathroom to flush toilets and fill tubs. Invest in tight sealing drain plugs.
B. Have a large tub or two to do laundry in. Have string or cord on hand to make a clothes line to hang out clothing.
C. If you live in a house, invest in a couple of rain barrels to collect rain from the roof - you can use this for doing cleaning tasks or watering plants.
D. Have cleaning tools on hand that do NOT require batteries or replacement pads or solutions.
E. Think about ways to heat your house should the power go out in winter. If you have a fireplace stock pile wood or perhaps you could invest in a small pot belly stove. Think about if you have enough bedding, mattresses to put everyone in a single heated room.
F. Think about how you will cook. Perhaps you can invest in a barbecue grill or a coleman camp stove. Lay in supplies to run these things like charcoal, propane or fuel.
G. Lay in a supply of hurricane lamps, candles and oil, matches and lighters for lighting your home at night.
H. If you have a generator, lay in enough gasoline to run it three weeks or more.
I. Lay in some simple entertainments for adults and kids, like board games, cards and books.
CLEAN UP YOUR YARD:
A few of the prophecies linked to the Shift have stated we might be hit by a solar flare so strong that it catches the grass on fire - likely after a time of drought. Also in the Mayan people reported in the last Shift "objects attacking" them. Whether this development was caused by an earthquake or wild fluxes in the earths magnetic fields, it remains that flying objects in the their environment caused problems. You can take some extra precautions with your environment to prevent accidents.
A. Keep grass and small vegetation and shrubs well trimmed around your house.
B. Keep your yard picked up of toys, limbs and other things that may shift, fly or catch fire in the dry season.
C. Keep a couple of fire extinguishers charged and on hand in case of fire. Lay in a few large of boxes of baking soda to help fight a fire should on break out in your yard. Just sprinkle on a fire and it will smother it.
D. Make sure all your outdoor water hoses have good wide broadcasting sprayer nozzles just encase a grass fire should start.
E. Don't count on help coming from the fire or police department if a strong solar flare hits an entire area that covers many states. If this occurs know that public places like hospitals and such will have priority over private residences. Be prepared to deal with protecting your own property.
