Buffy – The Psychic Slayer

In the course of a lifetime, we sometimes get a “Eureka!” moment that reorders your total understanding of a topic so radically that it converts all your known understandings of that subject - almost instantly. When this rare event happens, it’s like all the scattered pieces of a puzzle snaps together instantly and the understanding is so profound that it’s like you are looking at the world whole for the first time.  Such an event happened to me last Saturday when a tiny dog named Buffy showed up at one of my mediumship gallery readings at The Mystic Cottage in Pensacola.

But before I get ahead of myself – let’s take a close look at some references, scientific studies and understandings of people in relation to their pets and the psychic close bonds between them. We know that all animals have composite bodies like us. Like us, they come down from the Other Side and anchor their light body into the flesh bodies of animals. We know this because their aura bodies can now be photographed using Krilian photography and Aura photography – just like us.  What remains a mystery is how complex and “psychic” is their aura body in relation to ours?

One of our earliest recorded incidents involving the psychic ability of pets is found in the Bible. In Numbers 22:22-29 we get the unique story of Balaam and his donkey.

22: And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him. 23And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.  24But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.  25And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again.  26And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.  27And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.  28And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?  29And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.

From a psychic stand point, we come to understand some profound things here.  First we learn the donkey could SEE the nonphysical entity which was the angel standing in the road. Second we note that Balaam could NOT see the angel. We also learn that had the donkey NOT turned off the road – the angel would have killed Balaam – because the angel had it's sword drawn - so the gift of psychic sight to the donkey likely saved Balaam’s life – even through the donkey took a beating for it.  From this early text we learn that donkey’s – and all other higher animals can SEE nonphysical entities – whereas most humans cannot.

We also note that the ancient Egyptians cultivated and revered both dogs and cats in their culture.  While dogs were bred for hunting and family protection, cats were carefully nurtured and protected as they killed mice and other rodents in the granaries and they protected families by killing poisonous snakes and other life-threatening beasties about the home. The keen sight of cats in their ability to “see in the dark” and their other sight abilities, plus their strength as stealthy hunters and the ease of then delivering kittens, caused the Egyptian to worship cats in the temple of Bast and many other temples as well.

The ancient Egyptian’s also knew that cats act like “dream batteries” and sometimes intensify the content, range and power of dreams. This often happens when the cats sleep with their owners or in close quarters to them.  This may be why they were associated with gods who were worshiped as guardians of the underworld.

Moving forward in time to the Dark Ages and the Burning Years, we find that during this time the Holy Inquisition sentenced many cats (and chickens) to death by hanging or burning for being “familiars” to someone practicing witchcraft. From this we come to understand that animals can see and work with nonphysical realities (magick) and have been used for centuries for their “psychic sight.” The Amazon Indians, the Aboriginal tribes of Australia and the American Indians have all adopted animals in a spiritual sense, to enrich and guide them to more awareness of their environment and spiritual situations. Many of these animals were worshiped as “spirit guides.” This is where we get term Totem animals – which is a nonphysical animal helper or teacher.  But HOW do LIVING animals become spiritual animals too?

Over the last hundred years science has spent a lot of time and money researching just want it is that gives animals their special and often profound “psychic” abilities.  One of the earliest recorded scientific experiments was call The Pavlov’s Dogs study.    

In the 1890’s, Russian born Ivan Petrovich Pavlov conducted experiments on conditioning dogs.  A few minutes before he fed the dogs he rang a dinner bell. After a time they were conditioned to the sound of the bell and they would start salivating at the sound of the bell – knowing that food always followed the sound of the bell.  In this way we learned that animals can be conditioned to do just about anything if you lure them with noogies.  Professional animal trainers still use this method today in training performing and work animals.  

Today science is still baffled by some of the unexplainable ways that animals seem to “know” things outside their basic senses.  The scientific community keeps wanting to know HOW an animal KNOWS this or that, or how it senses things that human’s often miss.  There are countless stories of people rescued by dogs, cats and other pets that defy scientific understanding.  So science keeps testing for animals for physical ways of understanding these things.

For example, science long held the opinion that goldfish were dumb as a box or rocks and had a three second memory.  But experiments of putting goldfish in water mazes showed that they had excellent memory[1] and intelligence. These findings over turned our understanding that goldfish are just dumb!  Scientific studies of an African Gray Parrot called Alex[2] showed that birds are not the “bird brains” we were told they were. Many birds are highly intelligent and have great cognitive skills, recognition skills and reasoning powers.  After the Alex research, a parrot that had over 200 words, science now accepts that most parrots have the intelligence of a three year old.

Perhaps one of the most baffling animals to science is the cat.  Scientific intelligence experiments with them, has got science researchers perplexed at every turn.  A couple of years back I watched a documentary about experiments with cats that involved letting the cat’s owner walk through a room ONE TIME and leave.  Then they would put the owner’s cat into the upper level the same room, where they had a like pathways laid out near the ceiling that matched the room below.  In every case the cat followed the same pathway the owner had taken…without fail.  How did the cat know how to go?  Science knows that cats have no great since of smell like dogs, but they were thinking it might be pheromones or something they were missing.  Again they were baffled with the results. How did the cat know?

According to metaphysics animals or also evolving on the same spiritual track as we are. Pets incarnate with us many times over one lifetime and often over many life times.  One well documented case of this is in the book I’m Home[3] written by artist Brent Atwater, an artist who lost a beloved dog.  She was told by a psychic that her old dog would incarnate back to her again in her lifetime.  Brent she was so devastated by the loss of her old dog she said she would never adopt another unless she was sure it was HER old dog. 

Now Brent signs her art with a stylized “B” – imagine her shock when a dog breeder sent her a picture of a puppy that had her stylized “B” Signature embedding in the coat pattern of the same breed of dog she had before.  Her proof that the puppy was the next incarnation of her beloved old dog…it arrived signed!  How amazing is that?

Last year I watched another documentary about a scientific experiment where they were trying to determine how some dogs KNOW when their owners are coming home.  In this experiment they selected dogs that met their owners at the door when they got home. The team set up two “time stamp” video cameras for the experiment.  They put one video camera in the dog’s home, and a researcher and a video camera went with the owner in her car. They started the two videos at the same time.  Then they had the owner take a drive in their car until the researcher told her to return home.  Meanwhile, the dog stayed home under camera severance.

The home camera on the dog showed that after the owner left the dog found his favorite spot on the sofa and curled up and went to sleep.  The dog never moved at all.  Meanwhile, the owner drove around with the researcher, until the researcher told the owner to head home.  This way, even the dog’s owner did not know WHEN they would be going home.  However, this experiment showed that the instant the researcher told the owner to go home, the dog instantly woke up at the house and went to the door to wait for their master.

The question is, how did the dog know INSTANLY when the master was coming home, even when the master was clear across town?  The video camera’s time stamp showed that the dog knew the owner was coming home the minute the decision was spoken.  But how did the dog know?  

The uncanny ability of pets to just KNOW things in the environments and arrival of their owners has baffle mankind for centuries and is the object of billions of dollars in scientific experiments.  So with that question in mind, let’s go back to my Eureka moment.

At The Mystic Cottage last Saturday I was doing gallery mediumship readings. On this night I set up a chair in the middle of the room and I took people one at a time to the chair where I would hold on to their hands and use my ability to “see” any crossed over people (light beings) that wanted to come through with a messages for the seated person.

Now when I do these readings, I have no control over who or what comes through.  The Other Side chooses who gets the message and if they are ready for a message at all. In this case I’m just acting as the phone line between to parties. It’s also not unusual for crossed over pets to come through as well.  In metaphysics, we understand that adopted pets Cross Over to the “people side” of Other Side as individuated light beings on their own quest to master higher intelligence and greater levels of Dynamic Energy and spiritual understanding.

But on this night after I had channeled a few entities for three other people, a young lady with platinum blond hair took the chair.  At first I got the foggy image of a woman, but before she was fully formed in my sight, she melted away and in her place was the crisp and clear image a little dog with a long nose and buff colored fur. The little dog was sitting right on her lap looking up at me.  From the angle it almost looked like the ears were bent over, but as the dog moved, it seemed to look about a bit and I could see two fur tufted ears standing straight up as it wiggled forward to look at me intently. 

Naturally, I asked the young lady if she had a little dog that had crossed over and I described the dog. She said she had NOT lost a dog, but the dog I described was the dog she currently owned and was alive and well at home and her name was Buffy.

When she said that I was totally blown away, for what I was seeing was the aura body or light body of Buffy – bright eyed and bushy tailed - sitting in her owner’s lap like she was the queen of Sheba!  The incredibly of that rocked my world. All I could tell the young lady was that Buffy had followed her to The Mystic Cottage – in her light body.

Suddenly, I had the last piece of puzzle that linked up my puzzle pieces to all the “psychic” phenomena and uncanny knowingness of pets and their owner’s experience.  Suddenly, everything lined up like a jumbled up puzzle made whole instantly.  So let’s look at this.  We know the following things in science and metaphysics about pets.

All animal’s have a working aura body and light body (Aura Photography).

1. People adopt pets and pets adopt people on a psychic level (Totems).
2. Pets can and do “see” nonphysical entities and warn owners (Balaam).
3. Pets can and do affect people’s dreams and the dream state (Egyptians).
4. Science is baffled at how pets can track owners and know arrival times.
5. Pets often find dangers in the environment and warn owners – saving their lives.
6. Pets often incarnate with people many times within one lifetime and over many separate lifetimes (I’m Home).
7. Science is proving that even the smallest animals (like goldfish) have good memory and a much greater intelligence than we knew.
8. Metaphysics holds that animals that live with us are evolving to handle greater and greater levels of handling Dynamic Energy.
9. Pets can fall into negative nonphysical reality and become ghosts. (Countless stories about headless horsemen.)

So what is the one factor that hooks all these events together that science has not yet discovered?  At Saturday’s gallery reading I found the answer to that.  The answer that hooks all the above the dynamics together is that pets who live in close association with people, not only have light bodies but their light body travels with the owner when the animal cannot go with them physically.  I had proof of that traveling light body in front of me as Buffy sat in her owners lap looking up at my light body!

At that moment all the data on HOW animals do and know what they do is easily explained when we know that the animal is always travels with the owner whether they are with them physically or not!  It’s explains spirit animals, and totems, and how animals KNOW what they know the instant the owner knows.  It also explains why pets sleep so much when the owner is away from home. The connection is as much, if not more, a spiritual bonding than it is a physical one.

I send a shout of thanks out to Buffy for teaching me about just how spiritual the bond is between humans and their pets. It’s not often that I get a Eureka moment that realigns my scientific and spiritual understanding so profoundly. Buffy definitely slayed this psychic’s understanding – I owe her a big treat for that!

A Visit to Stonehenge

The arrival of the June Solstice has been celebrated since very early times. It marked the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere and the shortest day in the southern hemisphere. Many ancient stone circles commemorate its occurrence. At this time of year, my thoughts turn to Stonehenge in southern England. Built in several phases beginning around 3000 BC, it is one of the most famous ancient structures created to emphasize the Summer Solstice. This year, the Summer Solstice occurs on Father’s Day! It will happen on June 21st at 12:45AM CDT, as the sun in the sky moves out of the astrological sign of Gemini and moves into the sign of Cancer.

You cannot drive right up to Stonehenge. You must first park on the other side of the highway from the stones. You are out in the open countryside of the Salisbury Plain. It is sparsely populated. As you exit your vehicle, you can see that you in a deserted area; nothing around but grazing sheep. Very peaceful, tranquil.

You descend a ramp and walk though a tunnel. The tunnel is an underpass that leads you under the highway and the parking lot. You lose sight of Stonehenge altogether. In the underpass is a tourist office where you can purchase tickets, guide books and listening guides in the form of headsets.

When it is your turn to go to the monument, you take the ascending ramp on the other side of the tunnel. Everyone is stepping quickly, jostling each other, talking excitedly. But when you pop up into daylight on the other side, everyone suddenly slows down and the chatter ceases. You are greeted by an awe-inspiring sight shown in Figure 2. You feel as if the tunnel you just walked through has taken you back in time. You are staring at a monument from another millennium. The effect is quite dramatic.

At this point in your visit you should take some time to psychically shield yourself.

Do it before you approach the stones. This area was used extensively for rituals over several millennia. You will definitely feel energies out there. And that is fine; allow yourself to feel them. It is one of the joys of visiting ancient sites, the psychic energies that you can experience there. However, you want to feel comfortable and enjoy your visit. So shield and protect yourself. Then you can relax.

As you continue down the walkway, you should also make some sort of salutation to the guardian spirits of this place. Hail them. Tell them you are here to learn more about ancient ways and to admire the construction of such an edifice. Say that you respect the builders of Stonehenge as your cultural and spiritual ancestors.

The diagram shown in Figure 5 is taken from a local guide book by C. A. Newham. It shows the existing stones (black) and the concentric rings around the site where other stones (white) used to be. There is also a low earthen bank running in a circle around the outside of the stones. This raised bank is the actual henge. Thousands of years ago, this bank would have been higher, providing a viewing stand for the many tribes of people who would have attended the event at sunrise. At the top left of the diagram is the diagonal line of the country highway you used to come here. The car park and tunnel entrance is on the other side of this highway. Directly next to the highway, near the top center of the diagram is the famous Heel Stone.

Many Neolithic stone circles share a certain similar feature. Positioned outside of the main circle of stones is a solitary stone in the distance, called an outlier stone. This stone is placed precisely to indicate a solar or lunar alignment on the distant horizon. To see the solar alignment at Stonehenge, you must stand at the center of the circle and stare at the outlier stone and beyond it to the horizon in the distance. At dawn on the Summer Solstice, the sun will appear to rise exactly behind this solitary stone. This particular outlier stone at Stonehenge is called the Heel Stone and it still correctly indicates the solstice in June. The diagram in Figure 6 is also taken from the C. A. Newham guide book.

There is evidence that another stone of equal size stood next to the present day Heel Stone. When the sun rose on the solstice, it would have been bracketed by these two huge stones, providing a precise measure of the exact day, as viewed from within the center of the circle.

I took the Figure 7 photo standing next to the Heel Stone and looking back at the circle. You can see the visual alignment of the front four upright stones, with their horizontal crosspieces. The person observing the solstice sunrise would stand inside the circle at its center and look through the two middle stones of the front four. The person would cast their gaze out to where I am standing, next to the Heel Stone. Also visible in this picture is what remains of the original earthen bank, now greatly eroded over time and looking more like a ditch.

As you can see from Figure 8, the Heel Stone is very large, so that it could be easily viewed by the distant observer inside the circle of stones.

Figure 9 shows me standing outside of the Stonehenge complex. Different day, different visit, in May. Sunshine and clear skies. (Notice the 80’s hair!) I am standing on the side of the country highway, with the Heel Stone directly behind me. There was no raised walkway back then, fewer restrictions. You could walk right up to and embrace the Heel Stone! I am standing here so that the viewer can see the alignment of the Heel Stone behind me with the front four megaliths in the distance. I am looking out towards the horizon where the sun would rise on the Summer Solstice in June.

Figure 10 shows another visit in very different weather. It drizzled the entire time that I was there. I was using disposable cameras back then, not digital. Those spots are not orbs, they are just rain drops. Unfortunately, this damp weather is the norm for much of the year. You may wonder why early mankind would create these circles using visual alignments on the distant horizon, when the weather is usually rainy. The answer is that these monuments were constructed thousands of years ago, just after the last Ice Age. The climate of the British Isles was much drier back then, warmer, and less humid. There were many more days of sunshine than rain. So, outdoor alignments made sense back then.

And the people marked the seasons by building these huge outdoor arenas, so that hundreds, even thousands could attend their sacred festivals. Think of Stonehenge as a stadium and you get the idea. Stonehenge is at once an outdoor calendar, an astronomical observatory and a cathedral. To celebrate the seasons in this way was part of their religion.

Walk all round the entire site. View it from several angles. Do you feel psychic energies more strongly in certain areas? Look at your guide book. In ancient times, there was a huge processional walkway that ran for over a kilometer, a ceremonial approach leading up to the Stonehenge circle. You may feel the strongest energies when you walk near that lane. Admire. Enjoy. As you leave the site, remember to thank the guardian spirits of the place for allowing you to enter and learn from them. Then before you return to your car, retract your psychic shield.
