Ten Things You can Do to be More Psychic

Everyday when we look over the news we are inundated with the latest diet to be thinner, the best health foods to be healthier and the latest scare for “bad foods.” In addition to that, we are constantly being bombarded with TV ads, magazine ads and radio ads from multi –billion dollar drug companies that want us to trade out our acid reflux disease for drugs that might give us a heart attack or a stoke. Say what???
Every where we look companies are trying to sell you something physical for the physical body. Every word says for us to look at THIS physical thing and look at THAT physical thing….and if we just BUY this product we will be thin, beautiful, loved, in prefect health and be the sexual god or goddess of our dreams. Yet for all the billions we spend on these things the results are pretty dismal. Have you ever asked yourself why this is?
Perhaps the answer is not in the physical body at all. Ancient cultures knew more than 4000 years that we are only about 2% flesh and 98% light body. The ancient Egyptians called this light body the KA and took elaborate care of this part of that body both in life and after death. Today we call this the aura body or light body and it’s what makes us composite beings. To get an idea of this ratio, take a look at your thumb, in proportion, your thumb is like your flesh body, and the rest of you is the light entity that is really YOU!
This light body also called the aura body is embedded into the flesh body at birth and flairs out from the flesh body from 10 to 50 FEET all around your body. This combination of the light body with all its electromagnetic parts and the flesh body with all its organic parts creates the total Composite being that is you. When you say “I” it is THIS part of your light body is where you are speaking from. Also it is this part of your body that has always been, and always will be, psychic.
So if you want to be more psychic, more healthy, more beautiful and full of life, doesn’t it make since for you to work with the part of your body that is controlling 98% of what you are? I’d say the odds are MUCH more in your favor for powerful change – wouldn’t you? So what can you do make positive changes in your life?
1. Guard your EMOTIONAL TONE!
Your aura body is a complex electromagnetic energy field that has more than 2000 whirling energy vortexes that affects every organ and cell in your body. The aura body, for all its size and complexity, is so sensitive that a single through can send the physical body spinning out of control.
For example, seeing a car accident may be enough to make you ill or disrupt your whole day. Standing in a room where “the boss” is chewing someone else out for something can also cause your blood pressure to shoot up. Even watching sad things on TV can send us straight into depression. All these things affect your emotional tone and your aura body.
The latest medical studies show that our immune system’s efficiency drops by 55% after watching just five minutes of a war film. What we choose to look at, see or listen to affects us in a similar way. So we need to guard our happiness and good emotional tone like a bulldog.
Have a care in your TV and film selections, avoid violent, gory and meaningless death. Avoid too much study of the gruesome ways that people are killed or murdered in “reality shows.” Remember that much on these shows are “engineered.” Watch the violent content of the cartoons your kids watch. Take time to read good book or other stuff every day and listen to good music when doing house chores. Take the news in SMALL doses – if you have a choice find “happy news.” All these things will protect your emotional tone.
2. Stop CHEWING on it!
We live in world of great contrasts and changes. Some things are negative energy happenings and some things are positive energy happenings. But things do happen to us that are either life lessons or challenges for us. When these things happen to us, we get hurt, angry, mad and frustrated. Sometimes we feel betrayed, violated, used or just take for granted. When these things happen it seems to be human nature for us to pull these ANCIENT HISTORY incidents up in our mind and chew, chew, chew on them.
This mental chewing at incidents consists of internal rants that starts with things like, I should have done this, I should or shouldn’t have said that, I should have walked away, why did I do that, why did HE do that, why did SHE, HE, THEY hurt me? Many times the actual incident took a few moments to happen – sometimes YEARS ago – yet we may chew on that incident mentally for days, weeks or even years. This really is a case of mental self flagellation!
Each time we go into a mental rant, our emotional tone drops, our mood drops and very often we get sick or have accidents within hours of one of these internal beating sessions. To guard your tone and health, when you find yourself mentally chewing on a topic, make a note to LET IT GO. This internal chewing helps NOTHING and harms only YOU. So when you find yourself chewing on something, NOTE THAT and change your minds direction at once. Put on some loud music and sing along, read a really good book, find something to do that takes all your mind’s concentration. Train your mind to recognize the “chewing” signs and stop it instantly with redirection. It may take some time to retain your mind – but each time you find yourself doing this – you need to give yourself a mental smack and say “NO, NO!” Keeping your mind IN THE MOMENT has HUGE rewards not only in how your feel but in your performance of every day tasks!
3. Stop NEGATIVE Manifesting!
It’s common knowledge in the study of the Universal Law of Attraction that we manifest our own reality with every thought we think. If you spend a good deal of your time worrying about negative things, building “worse case scenarios” in your head, telling yourself I’m never going to be able to pay that, do that, see that, hear that or get that - then you manifest these things into your reality by default. Whatever tone and level you are summoning with your thoughts – this is what you manifest in your FUTURE reality.
The only place we can change our future is in present time and we do that with the dynamic energy of our thoughts. Our thoughts are like car headlights on a dark road, if we think positive things the light is very bright and these good things manifest on our road. Likewise if we think negative things that are darkness and trouble, that also manifests on our road. So we CHOOSE either way with what we think about – whether we know it or not.
It helps to train your mind away from worrying up trouble. Some people do this by using affirmations to train their mind to stay in a positive manifesting mode. So when you find your self in the worry mode – cut that off and say your affirmations over and over. You can make up your own “mantra” list to keep worry away. If you make up your own list make sure to state things in a positive way and avoid the word NEED. Here are some good ones to start with.
I am loved and lovable.
Good things are always manifesting for me.
I pay my bills with ease.
Money is always flowing into my hands.
Good things are always coming to me.
Today will be a wonderful day.
Only the good things I want will come to me today.
I am more beautiful every day.
My body is getting healthier everyday.
4.VALIDATE and appreciate people.
The invalidation of people and the non-appreciation of people is almost a plague in our time. Many people have come to the conclusion that they have to right to judge other people based on their own personal judgment and their own experiences in life. While we need a certain measure of judgment skills to make wise decisions for ourselves, and those we are responsible for, we step over the line when we “assume” we KNOW why someone else did or didn't do something or even their motive for doing or not doing something.
Since we can’t “walk a mile” in someone else head, we really have very few clues as to the reasons or motivations behind why people do what they do. In all rights, we need to concentrate on our OWN personal realities, for that is the only reality that affects us personally. It is far more healing and more conducive to manifesting good things if we validate and appreciate people and the small things they do for us, rather that pecking at the parts they don’t do – until they bleed.
Take some time everyday to just appreciate what you DO have, the people in your life, the income you make, the food on your table, your home and environment and the love in your family. Appreciation and validation always beings abundance and love into your life. They are like smiles, the more you give away - the more you get.
5. Spend at least 15 to 30 minutes a day in QUIET TIME.
We live in super fast, noisy and busy world. Consider that the average movie film shoots at something like 74 fames a second – so our brains not only processes something like 4440 frames of images a minute when we view a film, but we also process sounds, lights, smells, feelings, tastes and a thousand other things all at once. We do this all day long, with TV’s going, cell phones ringing, phones ringing, Internet surfing and billion of other bits of data we process on a moment to moment basis. With the data overload it’s no wonder that many people think they are not psychic!
The truth is we are ALL psychic, however the communication lines to your psychic side requires you to ASK and LISTEN. Most of us learn to pray when we are young – but this is only HALF the communication cycle. When we pray we ASK. But after we ASK we need to LISTEN and you can’t listen to this softer side if yourself if you are moving through life at Mach 4!
Learning to LISTEN to your softer psychic side for answers, only takes about 15 minutes a day. Turn off everything and get still and quite. You can do this in meditation and there are many good tools out there for you to learn this skill. Some of these include regular meditation, guided meditation, Yoga, Karate (moving meditation) and for people on a really fast schedule and life style there is Flowdreaming. You can learn any of these easily. If you can spend just 15 minutes a day in quiet time…it will change your life! And it will make you much more psychic!
Also it helps to get the electronics out of your bedroom or at least turn them completely off while you sleep. The latest research shows that some child (and adults) get nightmares when they sleep in strong electronic fields – like the ones put out by TV’s and large radios. Some of your best psychic time occurs when you sleep, so make your sleep environment as quite and bug free as you can.
6. Give Your Brain a COOKIE!
In today’s fast moving society, we take in a lot of data that really does not affect our spiritual growth. The brain can starve from not having anything good to chew on. So give your brain a cookie. Learn a new psychic skill every month, read a book or an article or two on things you can do to become more spiritually aware. Take a course or seminar to master a new skill. Level by level you will get stronger every day and master many psychic skills over a year’s time. So keep feeding your brain those cookies.
7. Spend a little TIME OUTDOORS.
Take a little time each day to just sit outside and soak up the vibrations of nature. Let your aura body stretch out and drink in the vast energy of our beautiful world. I often take my morning coffee or tea and go sit on the porch and just watch nature. The trees, flowers, birds, squirrels, and insects always know the tone of the day and give you an edge on the tone for the work of the day. Breathing in that energy will often charge you for the whole day and get you in sync with that day’s energy. So spend a little time outside every day.
8. Become a good LISTENER.
It is true that most of us live on the world and not in it. We often become so caught up in the telling that we don’t make time to match tones with other people and really listen to what they are saying with every fiber of our being. It is our nature to adjust our aura body to match tones with whoever we are speaking to, but very often we are chewing on the next thing we want to add to that conversation instead of being open and quiet inside and really listening and FEELING what the other person is are saying.
When you really listen well with all your attention points you will begin to pick up much more data about what they are saying. Many can tell when someone is telling half truths, or when the other person is in pain, or hurting or when someone else is leading them on and when they are joyful. The simple task of listening well will hone your Empathic psychic skills and gain you MUCH more data about other people and their feelings. So learn to listen with an open and still mind.
9. Play Psychic GUESSING GAMES.
One of the best ways to hone your psychic skills is by playing little games for processing advanced psychic knowledge. If you are raising a house full of psychic kids these are very good exercises to keep psychic kids from chewing and poking at each other with their gifts. Adult can play these games too. These games expand your “precognitive” psychic skills.
WHAT COLOR AM I? You can play this one in a car – in traffic - as you drive to work or on your front porch or sitting on a park bench by a road. Ask yourself what color is the next car? Keep a mental tab of how often you are correct.
WHAT DO THEY WANT? If you work in a high “people” traffic area, like an office, school or business, ask yourself what the next person coming up to you will want. Try to visualize them. You can play this at home with pets too! Keep a tally on a piece of scratch paper. Try to improve your ratio as you play the game over and over again.
WHAT WOULD I KNOW? All day long we come into contract with people that puzzle us over their behavior and the things that do – and why. In this exercise, you calm your mind, reach out with your aura body and just brush against them lightly and let the data flow from them to you. In this tone matching exercise, you ask, what would know about this person? Or pet! The answers you get may astonish you. It may be just feelings at first – then as you get good at this you will get more and more data. I think you will find that sometimes the most unpleasant person you know his hiding behind a mountain of pain or betrayal. Sometimes we can do a little healing here by letting the anger slide by us and becoming a good listener.
10. Learn PSYCHIC SHIELDING.
Learning to protect your aura body from other people’s psychic trash, pain, mood swings, energy vampires and negative dumping, may be the most important thing you can do. The aura body is THE most complex and sensitive part of your composite body. There is no need for it to take a pounding every day. Learn to shield your sensitive aura body and teach it to your kids as well. The Magickal Uses of Herbs

The Spring season is upon us! Everywhere we look we see new growth and possibilities, both in our homes and in our lives. Just like the vegetation surging forth all around us, we seek to grow personally and professionally. We are in luck! Spring is also the season when herb plants begin their surge of growth. Using these burgeoning herbs in magickal work that seeks growth is both timely and synchronous with the natural world.
Historically, there are three basic categories for the use of herbs:

Nutrition/culinary uses

Healing/medicinal uses
-
Spell work /shamanic experiences

The use of herbs by mankind is apparent in widely diverse cultures. Early man was nomadic and in his foraging he discovered many edible plants, herbs among them. By trial and error he acquainted himself with the different properties of each plant. Many archeologists have uncovered proof of man’s early medicinal use of herbs. One famous example is the “Ice Man” discovered in the Alps. Soon after his death, he was frozen in a glacier, and thus preserved. He died approximately 3300 BC and he carried in his shoulder bag several pieces of birch fungus. This fungus is known to possess antibacterial properties.
Along with medicinal uses, we believe that ancient shamans ingested various herbs to induce an altered state of consciousness. They entered into these altered states in order to commune with the spirit world. Some modern shamans still practice this tradition.
Some popular modern uses in practice today are:
Smudging for purification – sage

Aromatherapy - lavender, sweet margoram

Medicinal use/healing – mixed into teas to drink as nutritional supplement (ginkgo biloba) or salves/ointments (aloe vera or eucalyptus)

Sprinkled on candles and burned

Distilled into oils for potions

Worn as protection, in an amulet or talisman - mistletoe

Placed about an altar or home for protection
-
Dipped into saltwater and sprinkled around an area to block negative energies
Because herbal traditions are so old, every culture on earth has its own categories and magickal correspondences. Some of the more popular pairings are:
Basil – Love
Bay – Protection, Psychic Powers
Chamomile – Calming, sleep
Eucalyptus – Healing
Lavender – Love, sleep, happiness, peace

ThymeYou can purchase small potted herbs at most plant nurseries during this season. You can also find them at hardware stores and produce markets. Decide what type of spell work you will be performing and make a list of the plants you will need. When you purchase them, you can decide whether you will keep them growing in pots or plant them in the soil of your garden. They are not difficult to cultivate. They are far less hybridized than most modern crops and ornamental plants. They are closer genetically to their original wild state. So you will find that they require less maintenance on your part than your other plants. Keep in mind that they will probably only last one season, so plan ahead to harvest them while they are still healthy and vibrant. Living in the Deep South, my plants usually start to wilt and weaken in late July, so I plan ahead to harvest them before that time.
Even if you are new to performing spell work with herbs, give it a try. You will be honoring an ancient tradition. And you just may find a new and inspiring addition to your magick.
