Dr. Pipes is a career university music professor and classical musician for 30 years, recently retired from Nicholls State University in Louisiana. As a personal avocation, she has created vocal music specifically designed for use in pagan rituals that celebrate the Wheel of the Year. Although she is a solitary Wicca, she participates in New Orleans Wicca circles and public rituals, often assisting with the music.

She has presented lectures on Wicca, Scrying, Rune Casting, Pagan Music, and Neolithic Studies to audiences in several venues: university humanities classes (Nicholls State University), literary conventions (Phoenix Rising), sci-fi/fantasy conventions (Crescent City Con), Wicca conventions (Celebrating the Goddess Rising), internet podcasts (New Orleans Lamplight Circle), and Wicca discussion groups (NOLA Merry Meet). Her most recent national event was a presentation for Celebrating the Goddess Rising, a Wiccan/ Pagan convention in New Orleans, LA, held on Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 2009. Her lecture was entitled, "Stone Age Cultures, Our Spiritual Ancestors." She displayed personal photos and discussed research findings on the religious activities of our Pagan ancestors at stone circles and underground burial chambers in the British Isles. She also detailed psychic phenomena that she had personally experienced at these ancient sites.

Dr. Pipes’ interests include astronomy, fencing, spiritualism and ancient earth magick. She has traveled to ancient cultural centers all over Europe in order to study first-hand the monuments and artifacts left by our ancestors. Her teaching encompasses the culmination of many personal spiritual journeys that bring a fresh and dynamic perspective to the material she presents. Dr. Pipes shares the knowledge she has accumulated over many journeys in Europe and with decades of deep personal study.
